Hydropneumatic units
The hydropneumatic units (or hydropneumatic cylinders), designed and manufactured entirely in Italy by Bonesi Pneumatik consist of a pneumatic actuator with integrated hydraulic circuit for motion control.
The pneumatic actuator is used as the driving force, whilst the hydraulic circuit (passive) serves as the control fluid. The combination of these elements renders it possible to achieve a broad range of functions on the operating strokes, such as:
- Constant, regulated rod speeds in both directions, regardless of changes in load or supply pressure
- Precise stopping of the rod in both directions of movement via pneumatic or electropneumatic control of the stop valves
- Bypassing speed control via pneumatic or electropneumatic operation of skip valves
- Progressive hydraulic end-of-stroke dampers for dissipating the kinetic energy of the mass applied to the rod
